Vicky plays a harsh, foul-mouthed and intimidating father who constantly bullies his son, Major Iqbal, played by Arjun Rampal. Given the character's aggressive personality, the actor expected a substantial amount of his dialogue to be censored or muted. Instead, Dhar told him that the filmmakers were prepared to retain most of the material—but there was one clear boundary he did not want Vicky to cross.
Why Aditya Dhar stopped the improvisation
According to Vicky, he initially assumed that many of his abusive dialogues would eventually be removed during the editing or censoring process.
The actor even joked that he could have played a mute character instead, which would have saved the production from repeatedly adding beeps over his dialogue.
When Dhar indicated that the material would largely remain in the film, Vicky began thinking about improvising further and making the character's language even more extreme.
