Dipke Says BJP Should Listen to RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat
NEW DELHI: Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) leader Abhijeet Dipke has criticised the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), saying the party should pay greater attention to the views of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat.
Dipke made the remarks while responding to Bhagwat’s recent comments in New York, where the RSS chief spoke about religious inclusivity and said that a person who believes Muslims should not live in India cannot be considered a Hindu.
According to Dipke, the BJP has been in power for around 12 years and, with control over several government agencies, may have started believing that it has grown bigger than the RSS.
“I have been saying from the beginning that the BJP should listen to Mohan Bhagwat,” Dipke said, arguing that the party should not ignore the organisation that he described as its ideological mentor.
Dipke Questions BJP’s Approach to Gen Z Protests
Dipke also referred to Bhagwat’s earlier remarks concerning young people involved in protests. He said the RSS chief had cautioned against describing protesting Gen Z youths as “anti-national”.
The CJP leader then criticised Prime Minister Narendra Modi over the reported use of the term “Dimagi Naxal” for protesters. Dipke argued that the difference between Bhagwat’s messaging and the language used by the prime minister suggested that the RSS chief’s advice was not being followed.
He said Bhagwat’s emphasis on inclusivity and respect for young people contrasted with the use of such labels, adding that the situation “doesn't look good.”
What Mohan Bhagwat Said in New York
Speaking at an event in New York, Bhagwat emphasised the idea of human unity and religious diversity. He said different religions could follow different paths while humanity remained one.
Bhagwat also stressed that Hindu thought should recognise the dignity of every human being and support diversity while maintaining unity. His comments were made at an event centred on universal oneness and the philosophy of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam.
Dipke cited these remarks while urging the BJP to listen to Bhagwat, whom he described as the party’s mentor. He also claimed that the BJP’s position of power was connected to the RSS organisation and support.
Dipke Responds to Sonam Wangchuk Remarks
Dipke also addressed comments made by activist Sonam Wangchuk concerning the political ambitions of CJP leaders Sourav Das and Ashutosh Ranka.
According to Dipke, Wangchuk’s comments had been interpreted incorrectly. He said Wangchuk had described the two leaders as talented and capable and had noted that they had conducted their agitation honestly.
Dipke added that it was impossible to predict what anyone might do politically in the future. He urged people not to place “blind faith” in any individual, saying there could be no guarantee about how a person might act later.
Wangchuk had also said in the interview that having political ambitions was not necessarily wrong.
